Checkout Kit User Guide

Checkout Kit (opens in a new tab) supports two types of Shopify Checkout Extensions:

• Upsell Product extension
• Upsell Product Recommendation extension

Upsell Product extension

Upsell Product extension allows you to select specific products from your store as upsells. Products that can be selected exclude the following: hidden, draft, and archived items.

Instructions:

1. Click the Create Upsell button on the homepage to navigate to the creation and editing page.
2. On the creation and editing page, click Select Product. In the popup window, you can choose a product or enter the product title in the search box at the top to filter the desired product. After selecting a product, click Select; the popup will close and display the thumbnail and name of the chosen product. If you wish to select a different product, click Change Product to re-open the popup and make a new selection. Click Select to close the popup. Click Save at the bottom right to save your final product choice.
3. Click the Checkout Editor button in the Checkout Extensions section on the homepage to open the Checkout Editor page in a new window. In the left-hand menu, click Add app block at your desired location. You will see two Checkout Extensions under Checkout Kit. Click on Upsell Product to add it. In the checkout preview page, a new You might also like block will appear, containing the product selected in the Checkout Kit App. You can modify the block's Label and Button Text using the input fields in the App block settings on the left-hand menu. Changes will be reflected immediately in the preview. Click Save at the top right of the page to save your final settings.

Upsell Product Recommendation extension

Instructions:

1. Click the Checkout Editor button in the Checkout Extensions section on the homepage to open the Checkout Editor page in a new window. In the left-hand menu of the page, click Add app block at your desired location. Under Checkout Kit, you will see two Checkout Extensions. Click on Upsell Product Recommendation, and a new Recommendationblock will appear in the checkout preview page. You can modify the block's Label and Button Text, and Recommendation Intent using the input fields in the App block settings on the left-hand menu. Changes will be reflected immediately in the preview. Click Save at the top right of the page to save your final settings.

Upsell Product Recommendations extension across the customer's journey is a powerful way to help customers discover products. Recommendation intents are designed to recommend products using a targeted strategy.We Offer customers a mix of products that are similar to a product for which recommendations are to be fetched.

1. How to track product recommendations?

To track your product recommendations, you need to use the format for product URLs that's specified by the API.

After you've implemented product recommendations, you can track how effective they are directly from the Analytics page in your Shopify admin. To learn more about product recommendation reports, refer to Product recommendation conversion over time (opens in a new tab).

2. Does Upsell Product extension support selecting product variants?

Due to access scope limitations, currently selecting product variants is not supported.
